Jim Back is an Evansville native and proud graduate of North High School. Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Jim worked for the Indiana House of Representatives as a legislative aide. He gained firsthand knowledge of how a bill really becomes a law, but the best part of his experience in politics was meeting Amy. In 2006, Jim became a licensed Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. He and Amy got married and eventually had four children, Maggie, Joseph, Caroline and Samuel- and a Saint Bernard (Mollie). In 2022, Jim and his partners formed Riverside Capital Management Group so they could serve clients at a deeper level. Jim is a fiduciary and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. As an independent firm, Riverside Capital Management Group has hired one of the world’s largest banks for account custodianship and back-office support- Wells Fargo Advisors.

Jim has always been active in the community. He has been involved on the boards of Youth First, Evansville Rotary, Downtown Evansville EID, Vanderburgh County Community Foundation, Evansville Police Foundation, and the St Joseph Catholic School Board.

Jim’s investment philosophy is simple- your money (capital) should always be working. Capital is a tool, not the goal. Freedom is the goal.

Hayden Wood is an Evansville native and proud graduate of Reitz High School. A lifelong West-sider, Hayden went on to earn dual degrees in Finance and Business Administration, with minors in Economics and Management, from the University of Southern Indiana.

Now a fully licensed Financial Advisor with Riverside Capital Management Group, Hayden is passionate about helping individuals and families prepare for the future while enjoying the present. His approach is deeply personal — he takes the time to understand what matters most to each client and works hard to help them achieve their goals in meaningful ways. 

Outside the office, Hayden remains active in the Evansville community and enjoys basketball, running, and adventure sports. His lifelong connection to the area continues to inspire his dedication to helping others grow, thrive, and contribute to the community he calls home.

As Operations Manager, Kelbe Douglass makes life easier for both the clients and advisors at Riverside Capital Management Group. From opening accounts, to processing rollovers & transfers, to answering client questions, Kelbe specializes in all things operations.

Kelbe draws on over 10 years of experience in the financial industry to streamline the processes & procedures at Riverside. After working with Jim Back at a previous firm for 9 years, she helped him pioneer Riverside Capital Management Group.

A native of Newport, IN, Kelbe, her husband, and son are now thrilled to reside in Evansville. An entrepreneur herself, she sells her handmade items at markets & bazaars when she isn’t in the office. When she gets some time to herself, you’ll find Kelbe spending time with family, reading & writing novels, and crafting!

Katie French was born & raised in Evansville and is a graduate of Reitz High School. Proud to call Evansville home, she brings a strong commitment to serving both clients & the local community.

Katie has extensive experience supporting business operations, client service, and office management. She is recognized for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to delivering a high standard of service. Her ability to manage day to day operations efficiently helps ensure a seamless experience for clients while supporting the success of the firm and its advisors.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling to new places, and creating lasting memories with her son, Walker. Whether exploring new destinations or enjoying a family camping trip, she values experiences that foster adventure, meaningful connections & a well-balanced life.

Kaci Carney is the newest addition to our growing staff. She recently graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Kaci is passionate about creating uplifting, welcoming environments and strives to make every interaction positive & meaningful. Kaci will be the first person you see when you visit our office and the first voice you’ll hear when you call.

Kaci was born & raised on the west side of Evansville and is a Reitz High School graduate. She married her high school sweetheart in September of 2025. When she’s not in the office you’ll find Kaci spending time with friends and family, being outdoors or exploring new hobbies.
